The Skyline Lakes Property-holders Association is a Virginia non-stock corporation established in 1971 to represent the interests of the owners of lots within the subdivision. An elected Board of Directors collects maintenance fees from the members and uses the proceeds to maintain the road easements and common facilities.
The Maintenance and Improvements (M&I) Committee is responsible for all maintenance operations, and the members perform much of the work themselves without compensation. Along with occasional contracted help, and grants from the VA Firewise Program, they plow the roads, cut and remove trees that fall across the roads or threaten to do so, winterize the bathhouse each October and open it again each March, perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the roads, lake, equipment and facilities.
The all-volunteer Board also performs advocacy and outreach for the benefit of our members.
