Board Meetings
The Skyline Lakes Board of Directors meets quarterly to discuss road maintenance, review the budget versus actuals, and make any necessary decisions related to the community.
January and July board meetings are held virtually. April and October board meetings are held in-person in Stanley, VA. The September annual meeting and picnic is held at a Skyline Lakes property.
Our board meetings and annual member meetings are open to the public. Virtual access is offered for all quarterly board meetings. Skyline Lakes property owners are especially encouraged to attend to stay informed about community decisions and contribute their perspectives.

If you’re a Skyline Lakes property owner who would like to attend an upcoming board meeting remotely via Zoom, please email secretary@skylinelakes.org so we can send you an invitation.
Board Meeting Guidelines
Board meetings start with a public comment period followed by a general session. All community members are invited to attend, but they are not permitted to vote on motions or participate in official business. At the beginning of the general session, the president opens the floor to the attending members for comment before starting the general session.
After general session, there is a short break and then the board goes into Executive Session. This portion of the meeting is closed to the public as the board discusses confidential issues such as arrears or legal actions.

The Skyline Lakes Board of Directors schedules all quarterly and annual meeting dates at the October meeting the previous year. Meeting dates, times and locations are published in each quarterly newsletter, as well as here on this page.
