Little Meadows Lake
Skyline Lakes property owners and their guests can enjoy fishing and relaxation at our own Little Meadows Lake. The lake is stocked and fishing is allowed, although we ask that you please practice “catch and release” to allow the fish population to rebuild after maintenance was completed over the past few years.
There is no trash collection at the lake. Please take your trash back out with you and leave the area clean for your neighbors to enjoy.

The Bathhouse
Our bathhouse is available for Skyline Lakes property owners and their guests during the Spring, Summer and Fall. The bathhouse is closed for the winter between November and late April depending on weather.
SLPA members who do not yet have a bathroom on their own lots appreciate the ability to refresh themselves after a long day. There is one bathroom for men and one for women. Each bathroom has a single toilet, shower, sink and mirror. Bathrooms are kept locked and are not accessible to the public. Property owners in good standing can request a lock code by emailing bathhouse@skylinelakes.org.
Rules for Bathhouse Use
The SLPA bathhouse is ONLY for SLPA members in good standing and their guests. Do not share your bathhouse code.
Please be a good neighbor and take good care of this special community resource. Leave the bathhouse clean and in good working order.
Bring your own toilet paper and supplies. Sometimes a neighbor may leave supplies behind, but it’s best to bring your own.
Do not smoke in the bathhouse. It creates a fire hazard and may trigger the smoke detectors required by our insurance. Remember, fires are a big risk in the mountains and can spread very quickly.
If you notice something wrong or that the bathhouse needs maintenance or attention, please email bathhouse@skylinelakes.org right away.
Entrance Parking Lot
Skyline Lakes has a large, level gravel parking lot at its entrance that property owners can use as a meeting place for guests, contractors and delivery services. During winter weather when Skyline Lakes’ roads may become unpassable, property owners sometimes park their vehicles here and then take snowmobiles, tractors or 4-wheel drive vehicles with chains to their homes.
Skyline Lakes’ entrance parking lot is private property. Do not park there if you are not a property owner or authorized guest.
There is no public access to Shenandoah National Park trails through this entrance or Skyline Lakes.
Emergency Egress
Wildfires are always a possibility in our area. On March 10-12, 2020 a brush fire broke out just below the entrance to Skyline Lakes. The fire was sparked by high winds that blew a tree into the power lines. Although no injuries or property damage occurred, SLPA decided we need an alternate emergency egress route to enter / exit Skyline Lakes if the main entrance is blocked.
The Skyline Lakes emergency egress route uses an existing road that connects S. Lake View Drive with Lake View Drive, which exits onto Tanner’s Ridge Road below the primary Skyline Lakes entrance / exit. See the map below for details.
Please note this route is for emergency use ONLY. This route goes through private property and we don’t want to abuse our access privileges. Please do not “test the route” or use it at all unless the main entrance is blocked.
