Emergency Egress

Wildfires are always a possibility in our area. On March 10-12, 2020 a brush fire broke out just below the entrance to Skyline Lakes. The fire was sparked by high winds that blew a tree into the power lines. Although no injuries or property damage occurred, SLPA decided we need an alternate emergency egress route to enter / exit Skyline Lakes if the main entrance is blocked.

The Skyline Lakes emergency egress route uses an existing road that connects S. Lake View Drive with Lake View Drive, which exits onto Tanner’s Ridge Road below the primary Skyline Lakes entrance / exit. See the map below for details.

Please note this route is for emergency use ONLY. This route goes through private property and we don’t want to abuse our access privileges. Please do not “test the route” or use it at all unless the main entrance is blocked.
